King Arthur

Audio-Visual Scenography for Semi-Opera by Henry Purcell | June 2007 | Neuss (Germany)

Conception and realisation of an audio-visual scenography for King Arthur. Implying projections, light and sound. In cooperation with Eva Kehl, Kai Hoyme and Mario Zaradic.

Within the semi-opera King Arthur, directed by Nora Bauer, media-staging meets up with classical performing arts. Imagery for might, war, loss of truth or feelings are communicated by projected documentary and graphical impressions. The staging appears reduced and minimalistic, black&white-projections overlay stage and actors like illustrative quotations.

Produced by: Academy of Media Arts Köln | Direction: Nora Bauer | In collaboration with: Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss, Capella Piccola Neuss, Metamorphosis-Ensemble, Köln.
