Visual Scenography for Concerts at the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) | Feb. & Mar. 2010 | Montréal (Canada)

As a component of a four-part concert an assemblage of stand-alone music videos explores various aspects of the history and art of Japan. Conceptual and narrowed animations coact with the orchestrated versions of Japanese poems and establish an additional level of narration to the underlying, figurative language of traditional Japanese songs.

Participation in Sound & Screen Design for the exhibition “Discover what moves us” | 2009 | Potsdamer Platz, Berlin (Germany)

Spread out over three floors, the exhibition Begreifen, was uns bewegt (Discover what moves us) presents numerous interactive installations and hands-on exhibits that illustrate and explicate human movement such as walking and grasping through visitor’s participation. Main aim is to impart knowledge about the correlations between human motor functions and related research innovations. The exhibition’s design approach rests upon the idea of movement in general and is intended to attract both professionals and the general public.

Symposium & Exhibition, Sequence - MigAA Laboratory III at Ars Electronica Festival | September 4th - 7th 2009 | Linz (Austria)

The campervans used as mobile media-laboratories will be parked near the Ars Electronica Center opened to the public over the whole term of the festival. During a series of evening programs current projects, interactive installations and workshops will be introduced and presented.

“Sequence” is designed to extend and deepen research that was initiated during the second MigAA-project “Transgression”.

Participation in Scenography / Screen Design for the exhibition “Level Green” | 2009 | Autostadt Wolfsburg (Germany)

Objective of the exhibition “Level Green - Die Idee der Nachhaltigkeit” (The Concept of Sustainability) is to transcribe the complex coherences of sustainability into tangible experiences. On about 1000 m² the exhibition space is divided into six themed areas. Interactive installations, data walls and media scupltures dealing with the importance of sustainability for ecology, economy and society offer insights and an easy, playful access to a broad spectrum of related information.

Live-VJing, Workshops & Exhibition at “Satta Outside 2009″ Music & Art Summit | Aug. 10th - 16th, 2009 | Klaipėda (Lithuania)

Live-VJing and participation in alternative music & art summit Satta Outside 2009, taking place at the nostalgic yacht club in Klaipėda (Lithuania), Smiltynė, August 10th - 16th. The week-long festival is composed of workshops, exhibitions and encloses a musical part at the weekend.

Interactive Video Installation during Symposium & Exhibition | May 5th - 22nd 2009 | Central Railway Station | Vilnius (Lithuania)

Sliding Window shows decontextualized and collage-like composed impressions of an eastern european journey. With the aid of sensors and through variegating his distance to the projection the viewer gets the opportunity to defragment the video’s contents and to uncover specific moments and details. Realized in collaboration with Jonas Hansen.

Sliding Window was integrated into the exhibition Transgression within the long term MigAA-project, which is supported by the European Commission Culture Programme. It will also be shown at the final MigAA exhibition from Oct. 14th-17th 2010 at the Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin. For more information visit migaa.eu.
